The 2022 Hurworth Grange Country Fair is going to bigger and better than ever. Along with many established favourites, we also have lots of new entertainment and stalls for you to come and enjoy. 
 

Over 30 retail stall holders, mostly situated in the Fletcher Hall, will be selling goods from things for the home to food and drink to beauty products. Here are some of the stalls who will be at the fair……Bodyshop, Lacey’s Cheese, Breaking Bread, The Little Quaker Gin Company, Richmond Brewing Company, Calder’s Kitchen, Steve Smith Jewellery, Paddock Farm, Sinfully Sweet Treats UK, Stan Seaton Photography, Drawn Threads, Fudge It and many more. Further to this we have 20 trade and food stalls, who will be set up on the main field, including Clucking Pig Scotch Eggs, The Silver Shop, Oxford Garage, Rockliffe Hall, RSPCA, Aycliffe Beekeepers Association, St Teresa’s Hospice, Northumbria Blood Bikes and many more. 
 

Entertainment will be in the form of the Born to Dance, a Juggler, The Vikings, Morris Dancers, children’s fair rides, Serenity, donkey rides, Mr Twister the Magician, Sunderland Climbing Wall, Archery and again many more.

Petpals have kindly agreed to run the ‘Hurworth Grange Country Fair Dog Show’. The categories are: · _Prettiest Bitch· _Most Handsome Dog· _Waggiest Tail· _Best Young Handler (under 16)· _Fastest Recall· _Smartest Sit· _Best Trick· _Best Treat Catcher Entries are free so please enter your ‘best friend’. Rosettes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place……we’re sure that a cuddle and a pat will be available to all of the runners up. 

Remember to pay a visit to the Coffee Pot for delicious cakes, snacks, a welcome cuppa, and the Grange Bar will be open too.

Monday 12th September 2pm to 4pm (Grange Office) and 6pm to 8pm (Grange Office/ Bar) Tuesday 13th September 2pm to 4pm (Grange Office) and 6pm to 8pm (Grange Office/ Bar) Wednesday 14th September 2pm to 4pm (Grange Office) and 6pm to 8pm (Grange Office/ Bar) 

Photographs, paintings, handicrafts and flower arrangements should be brought to the Hadwin Lounge, Hurworth Grange for set up between 4pm and 7pm on Friday 16th September 

Exhibitors can also set up between 7:30am and 9:30am on Saturday 17th September 
 

Sunflower growing competition: 

For the Tallest Sunflower Competition (categories 41 to 42) sunflowers can either be grown in a pot, or directly in the garden. Judging will be held in the contestant’s own garden on Thursday 15th September at a pre-arranged time. 
 

Every household will be receiving a chronicle very shortly, so will have an entry form with all of the categories within the booklet.
