The Parish of Hurworth enjoys a very low crime rate, as such, it can often be neglected when it comes to regular policing.

Cllr. Amanda Oughton is the Parish council crime liaison, she has recently taken up issues with the police commissioner regarding loose horses

and anti-social behaviour. Should you feel anything needs bringing to the attention of the parish council please contact enquiries@hurworthparishcouncil.org.uk

The priorities for Hurworth/Neasham have been agreed in prior meetings and all the partners are working towards reducing anti-social behaviour in the village. Speeding also remains a priority and we are also working towards educating motorists who travel through the villages by the use of speed watch. The village now has its own equipment and those involved carry out regular speed watch checks.

The current crime report for each month is published on the website, under crime.
