HURWORTH PARISH COUNCIL
Hurworth Duck Race 2021
The event took place 22nd August, and started at 1.00pm
Crowds flocked around the village to watch just under 600 ducks fight for the best position down the river Tees.
The event was really well supported, and raised £1161. The money went to Hurworth Albion Football Club; they are a local club who have developed a neglected ex-sports field into a viable and popular football club.
I'm sure the money will be put to good use, and will help the youngsters and the club to keep progressing.
A nice report from Peter and Chris Barron can be read below.
